In late 2005, Projet Hope carried out “The Walls Around Me” in cooperation with An Najah University and its Fine Arts College. A group of 80 students participated in this project. The subject was very broad and could be about any barrier or limitation that the participant, as an individual, has had to confront or accept in their everyday life: physical, mental or spiritual. It could be a wall not of their own choosing, or it could be one that they created around themselves to protect their vulnerability. Ten prizes of dissimilar value were awarded from ₤500 at the final public exhibition at An Najah University. The funds were raised by the British volunteer instructor.
