Home EVENTS ! Wednesday Meeting 24/01/10

On Wednesday January 20th, Project Hope hosted Mr. Mahmoud Al-Masri , the director of the Nablus Circus school, for a slideshow presentation and question and answer session with local and international volunteers.
Assirk Assaghir, established in 2004 as a circus group, developed into the first and only circus school in Nablus in 2008.
The goal of the circus school is to create a safe space for children to learn new skills, make friends, relieve stress and to just have fun.  Available classes include acrobatics, stilts, juggling, unicycle, clowning, trapeze, and more.  Performers from Assirk Assaghir have traveled to Germany and Sweden, as well as throughout the West Bank, bringing joy to every audience they meet.
Project Hope has been a strong supporter of Assirk Assaghir and the Nablus Circus school since the beginning, through providing volunteers, office space, logistics and other support.
