Fundraising

Step One: Get Started

We’re delighted that you’re interested in fundraising for Project Hope. The money you raise, however much, will support our programs and help us change the lives of the children we work with in Palestine.

There are many great ways you can get involved. The first thing you’ll want to do is set up a fundraising page with our partner CanadaHelps. You can customize your page however you like and share it with all your friends on Facebook and Twitter. And the donations you receive will go straight to Project Hope.

Step Two: Get inspired

There are many fun ways you can raise money for Project Hope. We’ve jotted down our favorites to help you get going.

  • Donate Your Birthday. Celebrating a special event like a birthday or wedding? Instead of another toaster or unwanted tie, set up your own fundraising page with JustGiving (UK) or Canada Helps and ask your friends to donate to Project Hope.

  • Donate Books + Supplies. At Project Hope we’re always in need of new materials for our classes. You can mail items to our Nablus office (visit Contact Us for our address), or get a group of friends together and visit our Amazon wishlists. Choose from English, French, Arts, and Teaching Tools.

  • Take a Challenge. From running a marathon to giving up Facebook for a week, setting a challenge is a great way to reward yourself and the children you support.

  • Host a Tea Party. Tea (with mint or sage) and sweets are very important in Palestine. In fact, Nablus, where Project Hope is based, is famous for its kenaffe, a Palestinian cheese dessert. Why not host a tea party for Project Hope, and take some donations at the door? Contact us and we’ll send you recipes.

Project Hope

Project Hope is a grassroots humanitarian NGO and a registered Canadian charity.

Project Hope works in the refugee camps, city centers, and villages of the Nablus region of the northern West Bank, teaching English and delivering other essential education, arts and sports programs to Palestinian children and youth.

The largest volunteer organization of its kind in Palestine, Project Hope also seeks to foster dialogue between local and international volunteers, and partners with volunteer alumni to raise the issue of Palestine internationally.

A Registered Charity

Project Hope's work is carried out through the Canadian charity “Humanitarian Opportunities for Peace and Education,” with field operations run by a Palestinian team in the West Bank.
