Joseph Grugeon-Dixon is from Newcastle, United Kingdom. Harvesting Music at Project Hope

A warm welcome My idea was not to call Project Hope upon my arrival in Nablus, but rather find my own way to the Project Hope office. I was carrying a 30kg-backpack, my electro-acoustic guitar in a hard case and a 15 kg-wheel bag which contained my recording gear. Activities Project Hope in November 2015

In the month of November, we have continued to organise multiple events for the volunteers. A dinner was held during which our volunteers could taste the delicious local Palestinian dishes. A tour was provided to explore the beautiful old city of Nablus and multiple film screenings were organised. Furthermore, our international and local volunteers could demonstrate their football skills in a football match, while the volunteers also made a trip to the Jordan Valley. Our Activities in September and October 2015

The months of September and October have been very active, as Project Hope has been involved in many events besides our regular activities. On the 18th of October, students of the Photography class at Project Hope exhibited their beautiful pictures in the French Cultural Centre in Nablus. More photos of the photo exhibition can be found on our Facebook page.   The exhibition also included a music performance of three volunteers of our partner organisation Music Harvest. Songs of Our Land

In Songs of Our Land children were taught how to sing and write their own songs in a collaborative project between Music Harvest, Project Hope and five other local partners in the Nablus region.

Project Hope

Project Hope is a community not-for-profit and a registered charity.

Project Hope works in the refugee camps, cities, and villages of the Nablus region of the northern West Bank, teaching English and delivering other essential education, arts and sports programs to Palestinian children and youth.

The largest volunteer organization of its kind in Palestine, Project Hope fosters dialogue and cooperation between local and international volunteers, while encouraging its volunteer alumni to remain involved with the issue of Palestine afterward.
